PSO Weekly Updates - Dec. 15

1. Second PSO Community Meeting held on Dec 13th

On Wednesday, December 13, the second PSO Community Meeting was held. At the start of the meeting, the Head of School, Steve Winkelman, expressed his gratitude to all parents for their time in making the Christmas Bazaar a success. He acknowledges that these events do not just happen without the numerous volunteers that put in many, many hours to make it a wonderful and festive gathering. Next, on behalf of the PSO Board and Christmas Bazaar Committee leaders, the PSO presidents thanked ALL the hardworking volunteers that made the 2023 Christmas Bazaar a community event to remember. PSO presented a specially made Christmas ornament to all volunteers along with a certificate from the school. Afterwards, the parents broke up into 4 groups and played a couple of Christmas games, cornhole and pin-the-nose-on-the-snowman. The winners were awarded a special wine bottle. All in all, it was a fun and festive event. THANK YOU EVERYONE that volunteered at and attended the 2023 Christmas Bazaar!

2. PSO Explorer Club

PSO Explorer Club invited honorable guests from the crew and cast of musical "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" - Chinese directors Zhou Xiaowei, Maria Kaye, a Broadway musical actor who plays D, and our own parent of Concordia, producer of the musical, Yang Song, came to our Explorer Book Club to share more stories about "War and Peace" and the musical "The Great Comet" with everyone in the book club, and enjoy the charm of reading and musical theater more immersively.

3. ES Christmas Concert

Have a merry Christmas!

“Thank god it’s Christmas!” Elementary parent volunteers gathered together again in decorating the ES Christmas Concert space, and hot cocoa were served after the four concerts. When Christmas comes, feel a bit more love.
