A Christmas Message from Your Principal 2023-24

Dear Concordia Community,

What a joyous and blessed time of year this is!  With Advent upon us and Christmas approaching, we have so much to look forward to and so many blessings to be revealed! We have had such a rich and full semester of classes, labs, field trips, fun trips, practices, competitions, awards, presentations, performances, service initiatives, assemblies, and countless academic advancements!

The students find themselves nearing the end of the semester, which will be the very final semester for our seniors, an important and transitional semester for our juniors, a no-doubt rewarding semester for our sophomores, and a more comfortable one for our freshmen, as they get a handle on this thing called high school.  Administration, faculty, counselors, and staff have enjoyed so many positive interactions with students since August.  There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t hear about something good and positive and amazing that our students have thought of, proposed, undertook, or produced both in and outside of classrooms.  And we look forward to so many more of these happy, insightful, and compassionate interactions in the semester ahead!

We wish you and your family quality time spent together and much needed rest over the holiday.  Remember to RENEW in the ways that make the best sense for you, such as watching a Christmas movie while enjoying hot chocolate or bubble tea, attending church services on Christmas Day, reading a book for pleasure, trying to cook something you’ve never made before, eating at a favorite restaurant, writing a message of gratitude to someone you don’t usually think to thank, working on a new craft, learning to play a new instrument, taking a walk in nature, getting away for a true vacation, solving the world’s problems, organizing your closet, meeting up with friends as often as possible, going for a run, creating a cool video, playing your favorite sport, writing some poetry, painting a portrait, tackling the intricacies of AI, and maybe getting up a little earlier or even sleeping just a bit later.

We hope you have as many opportunities to RENEW as your soul needs!

Peace & Merry Christmas from HS Admin and Office Team!
